Important Announcement - FlightMaster on PalmOS
A note from the developer of flightmaster
It is with some measure of sadness that I have to announce that I am withdrawing FlightMaster from sale, effective immediately. The reason for this is the steady decline in the PalmOS market over the past 18 months.
I will continue to provide email support to existing customers for the next 12 months at least.
The future of FlightMaster as a whole remains uncertain at this moment. An effort to port to Windows and Linux is still ongoing, but due to personal circumstances I am not able to focus on this as much as I would like, and so cannot say when this will be finished.
Over the coming months you may see a Windows/Linux version released on the website. It will be a basic navigation system, and it will be free of charge, at least initially.
I am also looking at the possibility of a port to Android-based systems - again, with no firm committment either way.
I am sad to see FlightMaster on PalmOS coming to an end, particularly when it is still an effective navigation system. But all things must end eventually, and I am proud to have been of assistance to so many good people - it has been a great journey over the past 8 years.
Finally, my thanks to you all for making FlightMaster a great success. Your support, ideas and kind compliments have been most appreciated.
Safe Flying,
Kevin Haines Author of FlightMaster
